It has been 10 years of unlearning, mindset shift and healing for me. And just now I have the feeling of expansion I didknow I was working toward.

I feel this, Maria. I've been working on getting rid of the programming since I discovered what it was.

You are doing great!:)

It highlights a point I made today to someone. We spend our childhood and teens LEARNING all these things. Then when we’re older and trying to figure out the world there’s a process of learning, but also UNLEARNING certain behaviours and triggers. It’s crazy!

Before you said it, I was already thinking of A Clockwork Orange!

Thank you for reading, Emsib. That was my realization when I wrote this. That is my situation. Unlearning all the useless stuff I learned in school.

It bothers me a lot when people act helpless. I can’t do XYZ. I ask why not? Because I can’t just say no to my boss. Or I can’t tell my spouse they hurt my feelings. Yes you can. You just don’t WANT to. Because it’s conflict. And it means you actually have to live in reality instead of blaming your problems on someone else.

We all have autonomy but you’re right! We are programmed to obey a bell or a clock or some rules someone put on us. I push back on that. And now I’m seen as a jerk for doing so. Don’t care. At least I’m not a doormat.

That's one of the biggest belief that I had to unlearn: that I need to have permission from someone to start something. But once I've unlearned that, man, felt like a superpower.
