Validation is the first step in transformation, but it’s easy to get stuck there. Empowerment is naming the villains in our story for the purpose of writing ourselves into a better story.

Yes. That's a great point. The villain will make the protagonist a better person, or seduce them into leaning into their dark side.

I might have written this on the post😸 it's such an appealing sentence I keep reading it.

Cheers to ditching fancy titles. Just calling yourself a creator takes all the pressure off.

Makes it easier to just start Jay.

Powerful. Discomfort is indeed an indicator, not an enemy. In that way, personal growth become a trap when we confuse introspection with transformation, and become too comfortable. The real flex is creating despite uncertainty.

Yes! That's it. When you can create through the discomfort which can be paralyzing at times.

I've only learned this recently, and always took the attitude of waiting for the discomfort to go away so I could create. Now I see it doesn't work that. You work through the discomfort till you reach a place where you don't mind it.

I love this article! Limiting mindset for creators is such a big obstacles especially when you don't label yourself as a creator. The only thing I need to do to receive that label is create.

Thank you for reading!

I’ve learned that I put a lot of obstacles in my own way with my self defeating mindset, so I've made a decision to learn about my own mind, identify those beliefs, and replace them with empowering ones.

And I share these findings here, so I'm glad you are finding this useful.

Change in a large scale will happen when we free ourselves from the opinions of others and create and share with joy.

If you enjoyed that post I have another great one here.

And I was feeling bad for journaling just a few lines each time, but not anymore. Reflections matter, but what really moves the needle is action.

I've been there too. You are aware of it, so that's a good start.

Begin a combination of things. Journal a bit, then go for a walk.

The walk will allow your journaling to percolate with other ideas. Ideas that you'll feel encouraged to act on.

Choose the ones that you can act on the fastest.

When you're overwhelmed, journal again. But always follow it with action.
