This one came from an indirect recommendation from a Twitter/X friend who runs Radio Revival Podcast, a podcast dedicated to bringing attention to underseen films, much like @robopulp
Like the title to my post says, this one was a disappointment after the promise of the talent on the cover.
A couple of interesting points was all I could bring you:
An interesting look at how AI was viewed back then in the context of now
The movie’s director, Vittorio Rambaldi, is the son of Carlo Rambaldi, the visual effects artist who, among many creations, designed ET from ET The Extra-terrestrial.
Despite the promise of the cast, this one didn’t have quotable dialogue, one liners, or memorable elements that seeped and influenced pop culture.
I’ve forgotten most of the movie as I type this, so I’ll stop here.
